Downtime is an everyday fact, whether it’s scheduled or not. It’s how HIM professionals handle downtime that determines the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire department. In this audio seminar, we’ll identify various types of downtime, learn the differences between them, and discuss their implications to the healthcare organization. We’ll also explore business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) principles along with best practices to effectively manage and efficiently recover from downtime. At the conclusion, you will understand how to eliminate disastrous consequences associated with downtime and ensure your department’s success.
