2009 Profile Reflects Diversity for Members, Volunteer Groups
Human diversity can be defined as differences in race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical capabilities, and religious beliefs. AHIMA is committed to diversity within the association. Diversity is included within the Code of Ethics and there is a House of Delegates (HoD) resolution on the topic. AHIMA has also prepared a volunteer diversity analysis for the association to compare growth in diversification from 2006 to the present.
